Description

Oenosteryl Effervescent are effervescent i.e. soluble tablets whose active ingredient is potassium metabisulphite - K₂S₂O₅. Oenosteryl Effervescent allows quick and practical sulphiting of wines and musts. The blister pack ensures better protection and preservation.

Each tablet contains about 67% of its total mass of potassium metabisulphite, i.e. If the mass of one tablet is 5 g, the weight of the potassium metabisulphite is about 3,35 g. The tablets are easily soluble in grape must or wine can be added directly into the fermentation vessel or in storage of wine.

Directions for use

You can add Oenosteryl Effervescent directly to the must or wine. They do not require prior preparation.

For example: we have 100 kg of grapes which has to be ferment and we want to be sulphated with a dose of 50 mg/kg SO₂

М_{Sulphur dioxide} = 50.100/1000 = 5 g

It is known that 1 g potassium metabisulphite releases about 0,5g SO₂, for dose 5 g SO₂ is necessary to add 2.5 = 10 g potassium metabisulphite. A one tablet Oenosteryl Effervescent 5 gram contains of 3,35 g potassium metabisulphite i.e. to add 10 grams potassium metabisulphite containing 5 grams of SO₂ we have to use 3 tablets.

Storage

Store at room temperature (0 to 22°C), in a dry and odourless. To be stored in its tight blister packaging. Keep away from children.
